This Abstract Photoshop collage was finished in October of 2006. The image is a bit personal and autobiographical, representing my mind state during the summer of 2006. In the center at the bottom of the image, immersed in a cloudy rose is my 1976 Datsun 280z. I have not driven my car since 2002 because it has been receiving a tedious custom paint job the last few years. The car is finally painted and now must be put back together piece by piece, so it appears in the back of my mind as sort of an oasis at the end of a mirage. The fish on the left reminds me of my roomate's pet fish from last year and the apartment I left during the summer. The words "CHICO STATE" are exiting the tailpipe of my car, representing both my graduation from Chico State, and the end of a two-year relationship with an x-girlfriend of whom I took a picture of her Chico State sweatpants for this portion of the collage. A shadow figure to the right is a picture I took of my shadow cast upon a rock, and represents my perception of self. Just to the right of the shadow you can barely make out the image of my best friend of whom I reunited with as a roomate at the end of the summer. The background leaves, the elk, the man with the "SLOW" sign, and the "NO TRESPASSING" sign represent a life-altering vacation trip I took to Humboldt to visit another best friend Jon, seen giving me his thumbs-up approval in the yellow swim trunks. My loving dog Abby, the vulture I admire, a football and a camera pointed back at the viewer are also included with personal insight. Finally, the butterfly in the top left represents my metamorphasis into the person I somehow have become as of the end of my life-changing summer of 2006.
